Bill Bryson is, apparently, the most read author in Britain; his new book, Down Under (Doubleday, £), is top of the hardback bestsellers list; it has just been read on Radio 4; the man can. Still Boy down under book would recommend Boy Down Under to anyone who enjoys a touch of the paranormal and to young teens for whom a hint of romance remains a thrill.
